Abstract

This invention is directed to a detergent composition comprising the microbial lipase SD2, dodecylbenzene sulfonate, and gelatin. In the detergent composition, the lipase SD2 is characterized by having (i) optimum pH for washing activity of about 8+/-0.5; (ii) an optimum temperature for activity of about 30+ to 55 DEG C. and (iii) a molecular weight as measured by gel permeation chromatography of about 8.8x104.
